My Summer So Far…….

So first I’d like to start off with a big hello! I’m Bethan and welcome to my blog!

Since I have completed my final year of sixth form, therefore leaving the school that I have been at for 7 years of my life, my summer is much longer than your average student.

I thought that this summer would be a drag due to my parents being in work and my sister in school for the majority of it leaving me to find something entertaining to do myself. After a few weeks of this, I was fed up and was looking forward to my mum and sister to finish for the summer which meant the fun things were about to begin!

To kick off the fun side of my summer, I had my ROA (aka leaving dinner with my sixth form) which, to be honest, I did not really think much of as my year weren’t the friendliest and I could not wait to leave them all behind. Once the meal and the fake smiles and goodbyes were over, me and my friends decided to go to the pub which turned my night around as we just spoke about how good it felt to leave the negative so and so’s behind us!

The week after was my friends party. I love parties in the summer as the weather in the evening is perfect so you can sit outside. My friend even lit a fire outside which was even better. I had a great time with my friends yet again and had one to many bevvys…. But let’s not go into that!

Next was a visit from my best friend. We live far away from each other so we only see each other a few times a year which sucks but when we do meet up, we have the best time ever! The plan was, she was to come to my house for a few days, then when we would meet her parents and the meet up point and I go to her house. When she came here, I took her to various well known shopping places, a zoo (because she had never been to one before!!) and to my local nature reserve because it is a beaut! Then when I went to her neck of the woods, we went to Birmingham and caught the touring production of ‘Wicked’ (it was my fourth time seeing the show and I was thrilled to be back!) which was brilliant, Warwick Castle, Stratford Upon Avon and London to see Les Miserables (which was amazing!).

The fun times don’t stop there! Then came the event I was most excited for, my fourth trip to Disneyland Paris. We had booked this back in March due to certain things happening to my family which made times a bit tough. I was ecstatic to finally return to the happiest place on earth! I was shocked at myself as this time around I grew a pair and went on all the rides I was initially too scared to go on such as the tower or terror! Anybody who knows me well will know how much I love disney and that the park is my favourite place on earth therefore I was upset to come home.

Now I’m in limbo waiting for the dreaded results day and to move into uni. Hopefully more fun things will happen soon!

Thanks for reading and have a good day!
